Project: ISO 50001 - Energy Management System
The UK manufacturer wanted to identify where Areas of Opportunity existed to reduce their energy consumption across a facility. A formalised process was adopted to identify their Significant Energy Users in terms of:
- Energy consumption levels
- Part of the Critical Asset Register
- Susceptible to quality variability
From this analysis a series of trial projects were identified and delivered to see where any energy savings could be made.
The factory, a continuous process operation, operates a 24x5 working week for 49 weeks of the year. Production starts at 6am Monday and finishes at 10pm Friday.
Ecopare delivered an Energy Analysis and Data collection project based on their Lean Energy Management platform. This allowed for the collection of detailed information on each Significant Energy User such as Air Handling Units, Chillers, Boilers, Production Booths and Lighting.[rev_slider alias="iso_casestuddy"]
